At a launch event in New Delhi OnePlus globally unveiled its next generation flagship smartphone OnePlus 7T along with a premium OnePlus Smart T.V.  The OnePlus 7T offers everything we expected, the 90Hz refresh rate with an AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 Plus, the triple cameras, and even the fast charging. So, let’s take a deep dive into the specs sheet first.

Design and Overview of OnePlus 7T

Starting off with the design OnePlus 7T has upgraded the design to offer users a premium and comfortable experience. OnePlus has now provided a 4th generation matte frosted glass finish on the rear, which uses a new combination of films to flaunt a new diffuse reflection pattern under different lighting conditions and it also trim the thickness from 8.1mm to 3.2mm at the edges, OnePlus new flagship will be available in two colors namely Frosted Silver and Glacier Blue.

Display

OnePlus brings Responsive 90Hz Refresh Rate with AMOLED display from OnePlus 7 Pro but resolution will be 2400×1080 like OnePlus 7, It also supports HDR 10+ and stereo speaker to enhance the experience of media consumption on this device. It also borrows typical water drop notch design from OnePlus 7 rather going for Pop-Up selfie camera.

Camera

Talking of cameras OnePlus 7T houses with triple camera setup in a circular camera bump featuring a primary 48 megapixel of f/1.6 Sony IMX586 sensor, the second one is 16-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, and finally a 12-megapixel f/2.2 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. There’s a dual-LED flash located below these camera

The primary camera on OnePlus 7T is optically stabilized and coupled with EIS which renders you hybrid image stabilization (HIS) for more stable video recording at up to 4K/ 60fps though it does not have OIS, It also supports 720p super slow-mo. video recording at 960fps and a new Super Stable video recording feature. OnePlus introduced a new Ultra shot Engine into the mix to provide better landscape and backlit photos. You’ve got all the necessary features such as the Nightscape and it also available on the ultra-wide-angle lens, Portrait mode, Pro Mode with a dedicated 48MP mode and others that were previously present on its predecessors.

Charging and Internals

Coming to the internals it offers Snapdragon 855 Plus coupled with 8GB of Ram and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage, It also equipped with Improved Haptik motor, now the feedback is more accurate, more satisfying while playing the game or typing.

OnePlus 7T offers an upgraded Warp Charge 30T,. It’s still the same 30W  6volts / 5 ampere charging technology that we’ve seen on the predecessor OnePlus 7T Pro , but an improved charging speed with the use of graphene in the components.

OnePlus claims that Warp Charge 30T is 23% faster than its last generation Warp Charge technology, now you can charge while playing a game. And the graphene component will keep your device cool.

Software

OnePlus 7T will be shipped with Android 10 out of the box, running its own custom skin Oxygen OS 10 on top of it, making it one of the first device to be shipped with the latest version of Android.

Is it a Real Upgrade?

OnePlus 7T is just another offering for 2019 Flagship line up from OnePlus it is not a successor to One Plus 7 or 7 Pro, it just fills the price gap between the two, We can say it is a Hybrid of the previous 2019 flagships. It will give a tough competition to the newly launched ASUS ROG Phone 2.

Price and Availability of OnePlus 7T

Coming to the price, the base 8GB/128GB variant is priced at Rs.37,999 or $549 while the upper variant 8GB/256GB will retail at Rs,39,999 or $600, it will go on sale starting from September 28 on Amazon.in
